    The KS500 is the surround speaker companion of the K500. Utilizing Ken Kreisel invented tripole design, KS500 radiates sound three-way. This 180-degree arrangement produces a full immersion sound even in small spaces. The results are excellent ambient effects and realistic rear presentation and perfect for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound.

    KS500 can operate in three modes: TriFx™(3D Tripole Sound), Dipole(sound from the side only), and Direct Radiator(sound from the front only). You can select these modes by inserting or removing a jumper on the back of the speaker. Ken Kreisel recommends that most users set the speaker at the TriFX™ to obtain the broadest possible surround listening sweet spot with pinpoint location accuracy.

    KS500 has one 27mm pro tube tweeter, one 4" high sensitivity midrange driver on the front, and two 3" full-range drivers on the side.
    3D Tripole Surround

    The 3D Tripole Surround is Ken Kreisel's technology for expanding the sweet spot of surround channels to fit various room conditions. With phase-focused crossover, the drivers installed on the front baffle produce a direct sound similar to a point source. The dipole drivers on two sides are full-range and operate without crossovers. They provide a smooth and coherent sound across the midrange. The front-firing and side-firing drivers together reproduce surround materials naturally. The sonic characteristics and directivity of the speaker stay consistent across the room, ensuring superb coverage for listeners regardless of where they sit.

    Signature Pro Tube Tweeter

    Ken Kreisel uses one tube tweeter and multiple standard tweeters to form the matrix. They all fitted with the signature waveguide for well-controlled dispersion and a smooth response on-axis and off-axis. The tube tweeter is responsible for reproducing a more extended medium-high frequency and achieving the low crossover point for a more vivid and cohesive sound. Other standard tweeters without rear chambers are responsible for the maximum extension of higher frequencies. The tube tweeter transmits the back wave into a rear tube chamber that loads and absorbs the sound. It prevents the tweeter from having internal reflections that cause wave cancellations and timing errors. The legendary Bowers & Wilkins Nautilus and Vivid Audio Giya share the same design, while Ken Kreisel used this design even earlier.
    Exclusive Low Distortion Midrange Driver

    The custom-designed Ken Kreisel midrange driver uses low-carbon T-shape magnets and symmetric magnetic circuits on the midrange drivers to support high excursion while maintaining low distortions. The diaphragm made of long paper fibers with a special coating is lightweight and robust, and the cone geometry provides a substantial reduction of traveling waves. The result is significant control of unwanted edge resonances in the driver. The overall driver design ensures increased power handling and enhanced linearity even at large amplitude, providing lightning fast, accurate, and effortless sound reproduction across the entire midrange.
    Phase Focused Crossover

    The crossover design of Ken Kreisel considers not only optimum frequency response but also timing and phase. With careful acoustic analysis of psychoacoustics and computer simulations on phase shifts, Ken Kreisel achieves nearly perfect frequency response alignment horizontally and vertically. The result is an outstanding three-dimensional sound with a well-focused image and smooth response over a wide listening area.

    All Ken Kreisel Subwoofers and Satellites are sealed design. While most speakers nowadays adopt the vented(bass-reflex) design to squeeze more bass out but at the same time makes the sound muddier and sloppier, KK speakers insist on using the sealed design to deliver the more accurate, punchier, and tighter sound.

    Sealed design enables you to experience the clean and authoritative deep bass and ultra-fast transient response. Unlike the vented design, which may play fairly loud but boomy, Ken Kreisel speakers are well controlled. The more precise sound, superior definition, textures and faithful music reproduction are why Ken Kreisel speakers are loved by many professional musicians, audio engineers, and sound enthusiasts.

    A complete Ken Kreisel system requires the satellite speakers and the subwoofers to both participate in sound reproduction. The system can minimize weak bass, incorrect phase, and baffle diffraction distortions often found in conventional full-range systems. Every listening room is different and has a significant influence on sound quality. With the Ken Kreisel satellite/subwoofer system, you can easily locate the satellites at the best place for imaging and the subwoofers at the best position for strong bass.
