For some OTG devices that demand higher current input, this restriction may lead to unstable operation, degraded sound quality, or even startup failure. Furthermore, the complex power environment inside a phone’s PCB can introduce unwanted electrical noise into the OTG device, further compromising audio performance.
To solve this, BGVP developed the TC-1 with a two-in-one design that separates data transmission from power delivery. By providing the DAC with an independent external power input channel, users can connect it to a low-ripple power adapter, power bank, or even a 5V linear regulated supply. This ensures a cleaner, more stable power environment for the DAC, resulting in improved sound clarity and better background performance.
