Audirect's previously launched Beam 2SE portable DAC performed very well in the market. The newly released Beam 3 Pro adopts a dual-stage amplification structure to enhance the headphone amplifier's power further, providing sufficient thrust for large headphones despite its portable DAC size.
The new generation ES9281AC PRO decoding chip and quartz oscillator offer precise digital-to-analog conversion capabilities. It supports PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and native decoding of DSD512, boasting an impressive 118 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 0.0003% THD+N total harmonic distortion. It is also capable of acting as a MQA(Master Quality Authenticated) renderer to unfold the second and third layers of MQA files. It stands out among its peers. The ES9281AC PRO is an advanced Sabre HiFi DAC series chip from ESS technology and integrates many features, allowing the Beam 3 Pro to keep the size small while maintaining high-quality audio performance, making it an excellent design choice for portable devices.
Audirect Beam 3 Pro further adds two OPA operational amplifiers to the left and right channels for independent primary amplification. A subsequent switch serves as the secondary amplifier stage, emulating the structure of a high-end audio pre and power amplifier setup.
The design of the three-level adjustable gain can easily match different types of headphones: Low Gain is suitable for driving high-sensitivity in-ear headphones, while High Gain provides excellent drive capability for over-ear headphones. This allows for easy volume level adjustments.
