DAD (Dedicated Airflow Distribution)

Air control is crucial in the acoustic design of dynamic earphones. No matter how good the driver is, without proper airflow control, excellent sound cannot be achieved. The DAD design of the OD200 is based on aerodynamic and airflow principles. Engineers meticulously considered factors such as pipe diameter and length (accurate to 0.01mm) and the positioning of holes in the front and rear acoustic chambers to achieve optimal airflow distribution and performance.

The front and rear acoustic chambers of the OD200 earphone housing are equipped with two independent apertures, each with specific functions:

• Front Chamber Aperture: Designed to balance the internal and external pressures of the earphone's front acoustic chamber. This helps maintain the stability and performance of the earphones. By balancing the pressure, the front chamber aperture ensures accurate sound production without distortion caused by pressure imbalance.
• Rear Chamber Aperture: Crucial for the free movement of the driver diaphragm, essential for sound generation. The diaphragm must move freely to ensure accurate sound reproduction. The rear chamber aperture provides the necessary airflow for the driver diaphragm to move more easily and accurately, resulting in a better sound experience.

The dedicated airflow channel (TUBE) between the front and rear acoustic chambers allows efficient controlled airflow, enhancing the performance and sound quality of the dynamic driver.
