IMPACT2 ("Impact Squared")

IMPACT2 is a new subwoofer solution consisting of two 10mm composite diaphragm drivers arranged in an isobaric design. The addition of another 10mm subwoofer significantly enhances bass power and texture, while our internal isobaric chamber design maintains consistent frequency and pressure. This means you can enjoy higher quality bass without sacrificing tonal integrity.

With updated drivers, tuning strategies, and significantly improved ergonomic design, Monarch MKIII offers the legendary performance of MKII along with enhanced technicality and comfort.

Originally, Monarch and Monarch MKII set a new standard for top-tier performance in the global IEM industry. They not only redefined value for money but also permanently changed the way IEM manufacturers design and tune IEMs. Keeping up with the times, Monarch has undergone another revision to improve its technical and tonal performance.

Enhanced Ultra-High Frequency Output

Monarch MKIII has been updated with Sonion's latest electrostatic (EST) drivers and retuned to better showcase the full potential of these drivers. Thanks to our new tuning strategy, the ultra-high frequencies from +15kHz to 20kHz are elevated for a more comprehensive high-frequency extension. Compared to its predecessor, Monarch MKIII will offer a stronger sense of stage, atmosphere, and overall enhanced perceived resolution due to the extended treble response.

Balanced Tonal Characteristics

At the core of Monarch MKIII is THIEAUDIO's commitment to superior tonal quality. Monarch MKIII retains a studio-monitor-like tonal signature with focused bass performance, delivering clean, natural, and detailed sound. Designed with a true 4-way crossover and 9 independent passive components, it preserves its tonal heritage. Thanks to IMPACT2, the bass is more powerful, but the midrange from 200Hz to 800Hz remains flat and neutral. This midrange tonality mimics the real sound of studio monitors used in recording studios for accurate audio reproduction.

Additionally, the midrange in Monarch MKIII has been improved with a new tuning strategy compared to its predecessor, better separating each driver range to maximize output while minimizing total harmonic distortion. This means that MKIII’s midrange sounds more resolute while retaining the same monitoring-like tonal quality. The treble has also been slightly retuned to offer more coherence throughout the region, with greater clarity and crispness. This slight tonal modification blends better with the new ultra-high frequency response, providing a crisper sound signature.

Medical-Grade Resin Shell

Each Monarch MKIII unit is handcrafted by our skilled engineers. The shell is made from 3D-printed medical-grade resin, which is skin-safe and durable. Additionally, each Monarch MKIII faceplate is individually decorated and coated, offering a truly custom experience.

Upgraded Modular Cable

Monarch MKIII has been upgraded with Thieaudio's latest modular cable. The upgraded cable consists of thicker 22AWG 6N OCC silver-plated and graphene silver-plated composite wires. The cable material upgrade offers more clarity and refinement compared to Thieaudio's previous generation modular cables. With three independent interchangeable connectors—3.5mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced, and 2.5mm balanced—you can easily pair Monarch MKIII with any device without needing to change cables.
